Roofing Has Been Part of My Life Since I Was 16
I didn’t stumble into this industry. I started working for a local roofing company when I was 16 years old and spent years learning it from the ground up, how roofs are built, how they fail, where corners get cut, and what it actually takes to do the job right. That foundation never left me.
By 2016, I was well established in a tech career. When a commercial opportunity came along that gave me the chance to launch Simple Roofing and hit the ground running, it felt like everything came together at the right time. The industry knowledge was already there. The business sense was there. And the community I wanted to serve, well, that’s been home my whole life.
Center Grove Is Home
I grew up in Deerwood and went to Center Grove elementary, middle, and high school. I’m raising my family here now, and that’s not a coincidence. This is a community that shaped me, and I want to make sure my kids have the same opportunities I did.
That means when I show up on a roof in Center Grove, it’s personal. I know these neighborhoods. I know how the homes are built, I know the weather patterns that wear them down, and I know the families who live in them are my neighbors. There’s no version of this job where I cut corners or give someone less than I’d want for my own house.
Small on Purpose, Personal by Design
We’re not a big operation, and I’m not pretending otherwise. We’re a smaller shop, and that’s something I’m proud of right now because it means that working with Simple Roofing means working with me directly.
We do plan to grow. As we do, the goal isn’t to become one more nameless contractor in the market. It’s to put our thumbprint on what makes Center Grove and the surrounding communities great. That means creating local jobs, giving back through donations and labor, and being the kind of company people point to when they talk about what a local business should look like.

Every estimate starts with me walking the roof myself, taking photos, and giving you a clear written assessment of what’s going on and what it will cost, usually within two hours of your call. I don’t push replacements when a repair will do the job. I don’t pad estimates. The long-term relationship matters more than any single ticket.
Every project comes with a 5-year workmanship warranty, transferable to the next owner if you sell. We’re BBB A+ Accredited and hold Owens Corning Preferred Contractor status, credentials that reflect a consistent track record. But honestly, the measure I care most about is whether you’d refer me to your neighbor.
